I agree %1000 with Styles. I was never mad at Cole. He said it didn't feel right and thats the end of it.

I been trying to tell people to go back and listen to Middle Child. He told everyone “I’d never beef with a nigga for nothing, if I smoke a rapper it’s gone be legit.” Still riding for this project.

Cole missed an opportunity to compete in the spirit of hip hop and still be positive. I think cole could have rapped at kendrick without dissing him personally or his career. He could have called him out by name and say something like ay kendrick this ain't about awards or sales or tours my skills are just better than yours....and went on an impressive lyrical display. Kinda like how kendrick did on control. Whether you think it was good or not, kendrick tried to rap his ass off in that control verse. He had like 50- 11 bars and had alot of descriptive wild imagery. Cole could have done his version of rapping his ass off (like first person shooter) and then be like top that kendrick. If he don't then we could say kendrick can't rap with cole. But he tried to make kendrick look bad and he didn't want to.

1:40 when he said, "And I was CONFLICTED..." & "And I know my HEART..." reminded me of The Heart part 4

I see both sides. From what I can tell Cole and Kendrick were friends at one point. He might feel like there’s a fine line between a lyrics and something being blown way out of proportion. All three have a sharp pen and words are powerful.

I hope J Cole realizes that this unnecessary apology also affects Dreamville. J Cole got to erase any mention of being numero U N O.

Cole could've dissed Lamar sarcastically or in a funny comedic way like Eminem or 50 used to do to their rivals... that way he could've responded and in a way that was light to his soul or what ever
