In this Studio update, we start moving all the LEGO! To move efficiently I decided it would be best to rent a van for a couple weeks. The van will allow us to move massive loads and having it for an extended period will allow us to take our time with the moving process. Specifically today we focused on the mezzanine space and moved all of the LEGO parts!

Won't the LEGO become discouloured by the sunlight from those windows behind the drawers?

Seeing how it's getting set up, you might want to consider blacking out all of the back windows, not just for the TV, but for saving your LEGO from light damage.

I keep thinking that in 50 years time, your grown up children and their children are going to have a blast watching all these!

Two thoughts: 1. A major thank you to Josee for all the unsung hero work sheโ€™s been doing.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ 2. Enjoy setting things up, but donโ€™t worry. Itโ€™ll evolve over time. Looks great so far.

In the center you could put a bunch of tables and that could be where your extra project is, like the mansion or the winter village

Have you thought about hanging a curtain under the staircase, to create a makeshift room for all that packing stuff? I bet it would be an easy install and then poof, another closet! You're an inspiration, Jordan. ๐Ÿ˜„

The turnaround time from getting the keys to your space, the renovation, and now moving in the Lego is so fast! Everything looks great!

Quite impressed by those Command Strips. Lego in quantity isn't light and they seemed to have held up very well. Go with what works instead of nails.

It would be a very good time to sort more parts. Bring a few sets in each day, spend most of the day sorting out parts + cleaning off dust

The art would look so cool on the wall behind the stairs if you just fill it as one giant collage space!

I think it is smart to give yourself the truck for 2 weeks. To me this means more time, more patience and less damage. All the best

Moving is stressful. What I would suggest would be to store some of your sets in the shelves on the mezzanine while you move the Lego across and set up some tables to store Lego on while you get the shelving sorted out in the rooms. If you have some large plastic boxes to put your builds in they will be better than cardboard as they are more robust. The shelves in your basement are pretty full up so it will be quite a job moving them over.

Good move with all the tables and all the lego parts. Don't forget to say thanks to Josee for all her works she is doing. Hope your kids also survived and enjoyed their first swimming lessons. ๐Ÿ˜€

There is nothing wrong with having some open space, it looks clean

Don't worry about the layout at the moment as no doubt you will change it a dozen times before you get it how you want it. Dont stress about the move, just have fun and think of all the new building you will be doing soon. Keep Brickin.

Awesome work Bricksies. It did make me chuckle seeing how the first load looked so small in the warehouse after seeing how it filled your garage! Gives a great perspective on how much space you know have!!!
