11 yrs old. Walked into a record shop. Berkeley. Wanted this melody from no idea whom. Heard it on the radio the night before falling asleep. I hummed the tune to the shopkeeper. I was small then and he looked down at me and smiled big. Gave me the record. "I'll take it out of my pocket."

Some people discovered this remarkable piece of music through anime, some through Better Call Saul, some through Civilization V, some via the Royal Wedding, some through their music lessons, some because they simply love classical music and I'm sure there are a few happy people who randomly stumbled upon it via a YouTube crawl. Whether it's through computer games, TV or marriage, I'm just glad everyone here has had the opportunity to listen to it! Just goes to show that good music is good music whatever your hobbies or interests happen to be.

My mom told me she used to put me on her back and dance around for hours until I fell asleep with this song on. Maybe that's why I get such an overwhelming sense of peace when I hear this song. Beautiful!

I played this song on the cello, and there are some pieces that you just know are written by people who know the instrument they are writing for. The piece just fits under your fingers so well, it’s just amazing!

In memorial of Edward "Edd" and Molly Walten. "You'll be remembered, our little angels, our little red children."

First heard on Better Call Saul. This piece is magical and the painting chosen is perfect. Thanks for posting. This put a little calm into my day.

If I haven't said so already, I'd like to tell you how perfect your choice of painting is.

If someone had asked Fauré to predict the legacy of this piece, he never, ever would have guessed that over 120 years after writing it, it would be briefly featured on something called a 'television show,' "Better Call Saul," and that after hearing it on that show, people would look it up on something called the 'internet.' We never know what the future will hold.

Thank you Hyouka. For showing me the song I've heard when I was a child.

I love it when TV creates some classical music fans, even if it's just a few songs.

I think this gotta be my favourite piece when it comes to classical music. It's melancholic and full of nostalgia. I love its wistfulness, feeling of yearning in each note. It's simply perfect.

Listening to this is like walking in one of our cobbled paving streets, when fall paints the floor with orange and brown, and rainy sweetly raises an ancient smell of musks and shrooms. This is so great. Greets from Sicily guys.
