The most wonderful part of this song is how every question makes me think of someone or something, to get lost in such non-special but beautifully true everyday happenings just like the questions asked. My brain and soul wonders how people who i think of change and how my understanding of the lyrics has grown. You just pause and be, and ask your old self "have we met before?"

Are you thinking?
Is she close?
Do you struggle with umbrellas?
Are you leaving?
Are you home?
Have you timed this badly?
Have we met before?
Are you staying?
Did you fall?
Can you count to ten in German?
Can you whisper?
Can you lie?
Did you design your own website?
Have we met before?
Are you sleeping?
Are you wise?
What can you see from your window?
Are you hungry?
Are you calm?
Are you on a great adventure?
Have we met before?
Are you reading?
Did you choose?
Can you see into the future?
Are you listening?
Are you scared?
Will you know it when you see it?
Have we met before?

This was great! I love Bolu! I have a small story that you might be interested in hearing. This past semester at school in my dorm room we had a nice little sound system setup. We would often play music while studying or blast things and be idiots to take a break. I started playing some of your music. My roommates were very interested in your sound. One of my roommates is really into piano and makes a lot of music himself and I felt like he'd love your stuff, but he said he wasn't a fan. So I kept playing some more of your stuff and he started liking it a lot. Though he told me his mom and girlfriend thought it was weird. Anyways, we would often all dance around the room singing pretty loudly with over exaggerated British accents about watermelons, taking guesses, and not going to dark places while listening to your music. Then a typical night would end with some Sex, Death, and Landscapes (not literally) too calm us down to sleep. So thanks Tom for bringing my roommates and I closer together with your music.

Just came back to watch this, yet again. Always a favorite. Absolutely beautiful song and video! Also, my family's dog, Lizzy (named for Elizabeth Bennet) makes her acting debut at around 00:44 :)

My old window is in this video, from the bedroom I grew up in. I've moved over 5,000 miles away from that house, but I love listening to this periodically and transporting me back to that view. I'm on a great adventure now. I do struggle with umbrellas, I did design my own website, I have timed this horribly, and I am scared.
