Miley Ray Cyrus[6] (née Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus; November 23, 1992) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. After playing minor roles in the television series Doc and the film Big Fish as a child, she became a teen idol in 2006, starring in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana as the character Miley Stewart. Her father, musician Billy Ray Cyrus, also starred in the series, which aired for four seasons until 2011.

While filming The Last Song, Cyrus began an on-again, off-again relationship with her co-star, Liam Hemsworth, in 2009.[311] They were first engaged from May 2012 until September 2013.[312][313] They rekindled their relationship in March 2016,[314][315] and became re-engaged that October.[316] In November 2018, Cyrus revealed on social media that her and Hemsworth's home had burned down in the Woolsey Fire,[317][318] and expressed devastation for her community and gratitude for the safety of herself, Hemsworth, and their pets. Liam Hemsworth (born 13 January 1990)[2] is an Australian actor. He played the roles of Josh Taylor in the soap opera Neighbours and Marcus in the children's television series The Elephant Princess. In American films, Hemsworth starred as Will Blakelee in The Last Song (2010), as Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games film series (2012–2015), and as Jake Morrison in Independence Day: Resurgence (2016).

Hemsworth's older brothers, Luke and Chris, are also actors.
