I can finally listen to my favorite part (4:07) uninterrupted without the drums blaring over the synths. It sounds amazing

Woah this is so clear its melting my brain a little. But it does hurt my soul to not hear the drums kick in at that part at 3:30

People complaining about this release being a "cashgrab" don't really see the full picture here. The duo has always talked about RAM being an analogue love letter to their musical heroes growing up. I see "Tron Legacy", and now Thomas' steps into classical music as the path to this release and their final "goodbye" alongside the other 10th anniversary edition. I really do feel this will be the final release we will see for a long while so we should enjoy it while we can. I personally love this addition to their discography and it enables me to hear the music in a new way.

I remember driving back home, from Cleveland to Pittsburgh, at night after the full RAM album released. For me it was a Cathartic experience, and a short enough drive that it allowed the full album to play through. Especially when working night shift so it would start after the work was done. The beats/rhythm were internalized at that point due to the frequency of commuting but it's wonderful to hear it in a different light after all these years. Hope yinze have your own rememberances to share of it. Stay strong friends.

I'm so grateful for these drumless releases. Easier to get lost to, especially on a plane. And at about 0:47 onward for a bit, we also feel inspiration from Tron Legacy, which is probably in among my most sentimental movie soundtracks.

Very interesting decision to release this album without the drums. The percussion on this album is my favorite aspect from it, especially as they emphasized that they used real drummers for the first time instead of relying on a drum machine - and Motherboard is my favorite track on the album. It definitely feels alienating to listen to it for the first time (I really missed that one specific cymbal crash at 2:51 lol) but the isolated synths we get from it are just so beautiful. Also they really used a lot more water sounds in the background than I had previously noticed. The robots are really full of surprises. Apart from Motherboard, Contact is probably the most interesting track regarding the drums, so I really look forward to listening to it.

Funnily enough, without the drums this sounds like something straight out of the Tron Legacy soundtrack.
