a lot of people are talking about the frequent refrences to summer but i want to bring up the lyric "wrapped in plastic". this is likely a refrence to the hot tea music video which uses clear plastic as a common motif. i know somewhere there is a written reason for this but i can't quite seem to find it.

At first I was confused why they canceled the creation of "Give Me Your Shoulders" but it makes a bit more sense now since they didn't actually give up on the idea of making the complete album; if you listen to the lyrics of all these songs they clearly relate to what was originally planned for GMYS; Love. Relationships between people and the relationship between God and his people too. Why they chose to give up on GMYS and switch to COAP I'm not sure but I'm all for it, I love the meaning behind each one of these songs.
