I'm absolutely loving this. As a general history nerd whose also got a major interest in historical music (or rather music that the composers believe would sound as close to that time period as it can), so this is right up my alley.
If anyone is interested/hasn't checked it out before, look into pre-historic stone music.

music wasn't well documented until only a few hundred years ago. It is very difficult to know what music of these cultures and eras actually sounded like. Much of what we know about music is based on the archeological data we have on the types of instruments they played and then piecing that information together quite literally with what we know the human ear finds pleasing. It's fascinating stuff to study
