Huge fan of your acoustic stuff! I play mostly acoustic, and your songs always give me fresh perspectives/ideas - every time I hear one of these acoustic renditions it makes me want to pick up my guitar and play. The feelings/images/stories you manage to summon/evoke are extremely compelling. I've often thought that your music is what the ocean likes to listen to - there's something tidal about it. As if the small surface levels nuances and intricacies are part of a larger, slower movement that gradually shifts through different phases, motifs, emotions, and perspectives, like waves on a shore or deep ocean currents. It always takes me on some kind of journey.
I've seen a comment comparing some of your acoustic renditions to David Gilmour's acoustic playing, which I think is spot on. On the surface your styles are very different, but your music has the same sense of space, patience, storytelling, and deliberate care that I think made Gilmour's playing so powerful and evocative. Hope you don't mind the comparison.
Anyway, fantastic stuff, thank you for taking the time to share this with all of us!

It's interesting how other humans are able to create feelings out of tones and rhythms. This riff gives me feelings of empathy and vulnerability, but not without a bit of hope stirred in. Perhaps we, the listener, subjectively hear what we want too, but regardless, without the musician giving us the opportunity to reflect and feel this world would be a darker place to live. Thanks for your time and passion.

Thanks Yvette. I just watched a Vsauce video genuinely making me question if chairs exist and I needed this to calm down.
