Ya know, I actually kinda miss the old SMG3. Back when he was the big main antagonist to SMG4 in the 2011 and 2012 days.

I understand completely that many people miss the old days of SMG4. I watched some of the old videos from time to time as well. Mario humping spaghetti, SMG3 forcing other characters to fight in a gladiator stadium and stealing food from Kirby's Dream Land because he's poor, and his main focus on the Youtube Arc.
It's okay to look back to the old videos, but time waits for no one. Luke and Kevin Lerdwichagul both grew as content creators, founding GLITCH Productions and their fist show Meta Runner became a hit, and they sailed onwards from there.
We can appreciate and love some of the new, memey, and crazy things his team can come up with, like Mario getting his pingas stuck on doors, Meggy and Melony's character growth and career choices, and many, many more.
And hey, the editor does listen to how we feel about Mario and Meggy's relationship, and he delivered.
Watching Classic SMG4 is fine, verry good to reminisce, even, but being stuck in the past means you can't see how our meme lords have improved over the years. Staying with the same old, same old is repetitive, we need quality and quantity. We should look forward every Saturday to see what SMG4 has in store, because after all... we don't know what he has in his sleeves.

SMG3 has truly changed. He went from an actual villain to a sort of “good” villain, hanging out with his friends and causing mischief at the same time.
