I just spent 4 years in HMP Birmingham and these types of morons, who actually believe they have any control, are the ones who make life a misery for the other inmates. It’s giving me flashbacks hearing the idiots shouting and talking that way.

You have to give and take. Locking everyone down for 23hrs a day and then smashing their heads in does nothing except create a powder keg and give the staff a hard time. That's how you get rioting, violence, drugs, people self harming and offing themselves etc.
Let the lads piss about like this to keep themselves entertained and out of trouble. If it's not illegal and nobody's getting hurt then just let it slide.

I like the out.
I've bene out here for ten years, and life is great.
No screws pestering me, no community locking their doors when I come round, no police hassling me or people trying to get back at me.
Paying bills and taxes isn't perfect, but I have some pride today in me. I earn my living, and I pay my way. I even give my time up to help others occasionally, and I do so freely.
Yeah I smoke a bit of weed, and indulge the occasional mushroom brew, but so what? I'm not hurting anyone today, and my conscience is somewhat clear.
The consequences of our actions often outlast the behaviour they resulted from, so self improvement is a continual project, but I love the fact I'm free, and can wake up on my days off, with a reefer and a fried breakfast, and take my ebike out into the countryside, and nobody is worried about me anymore. Some might even look forwards to my visits, and that's priceless.
Life is worth something.
Don't waste yours sitting in prisons.
Be the best you can be, my Brothers. We only get one shot at this ride.

I first went into a yo in 2000 you had to be enhanced just to have a radio in your cell. Then in 2021 I ended up back in and I remember going onto the wing and someone was moaning that his tv remote wasn’t working I was thinking tv remote wtf lol. Then I got transferred to that new prison five wells where you have a shower in your cell and proper bedding, digital tv with all the channels and a Samsung galaxy tablet that you can text people and order your canteen. It was more like being at uni than prison.
