I have no idea how they forgot the arcade games, like that was so fucking fun.
And yea need more new stuff, the movement options are about all there is to set it apart, from the codzilla though I think they must be hiding some stuff, I just hope so. I think Splatoon 3 is the chance to perfect the franchise formula, and as good as it looks it also has to show new stuff too I agree.

I know they won't but I like the idea of, as a big selling point, introducing new modes, specifically some form of turf war 1 v 4 mode similar to Evolve. One guy gets to be this giant octarian weapon that inks a ton of terrain with one move and everyone else gets to be these tiny flies trying to replace as much of that ink as possible.

man i just want something inherently NEW... like yes, new versions of weapons, maps, specials, salmon run bosses etc but everything is the same in the core gameplay. we need something like how salmon run was when splatoon 2 just came out, something that changes the way you play and has a different aesthetic than the rest of the game. but at this point i kinda doubt it cause i mean they're already bringing salmon run back there probably wonr be a SECOND secondary mode. i just reaaally dont want this game to be splatoon 2.5 again

I gotta agree, I'm excited for this just as an avid splatoon fan but I really want something unique that justifies this game's existence. It would be cool if the single player is more like Octo Expansion, but even that's just something else that could have been DLC. Idk, this entire thing is weird, like people have to pick between Splatoon 2 and 3 on the same console? It just does not seem like the kind of thing that would benefit from having the player base divided. Veeeeeery weird. And I say that as somebody who was excited about this game just on the prospect the music they've shown off sounds more similar to the first game's style than 2's.

Another minor thing I would want is for an option to turn off color dependent gear (I'm looking at you welding mask) some are fine while others look absolutely hideous in certain colours. I would also like a badge on the weapon to signify you got a red badge or something. right now its super useless unless you brag on the internet so this would give it something.

I'd love a proper team deathmatch mode, or maybe even a free for all mode. Some maps are just built for this idea and I legit think it would have some pretty intense gameplay

Going off of the phone app thing, seeing the ability to record your matches through the phone app and have them stored on the cloud for a certain amount of time would be pretty friggin epic. Having the option to have the map back in your hand + being able to connect to discord/a conference call would just round this whole thing out honestly. I still think that keeping the X button as the map would be best though.
As for any other features I'd like to see, well a stage creator (like you said before) with themed options and assets from shifty station, again the phone app can be a way to view them and stuff. Oh yeah everything on the phone app rn should go on to the main game, and everything viewable on the app should be viewable on your Switch too

i really hope they allow us to purchase ability chunks with money like you said previously. that would be so convenient instead of farming chunks for hours. maybe they could price it at 1,000 for 1 chunk or something

I hope they fix some of the jank hit boxes on some of the weapons, and rework the armor system. farming for ability chunks sucks. I would rather see a gem slotting mechanism like in monster hunter, where gems could be awarded either after a match, during salmon run, or for the playing the story mode. I also hope that there is a way to either organize armor sets or have a pre-load out option avialable. I would also like to be able to remove and put in new main abilities on clothes.

Getting gear even if your gear spots are full is a MUST. Its very hard at times to win battles with no secondary or good secondary subs. Also achievements are cool, like first blood or From the Grave, man Halo 3 did this like 15 years ago. Rocket League is a good example too for the chat, also wish you can change it like in Smash Ultimate before or after a match. In reality, this game could use voice chat too, just have it be optional. Probably Nintendo doesn't want to do that since they are too lazy to want to monitor it or come up with a good system for it, no wonder why they took out all that cool texting stuff in Miiverse (people say it died because of the rise of social platforms, but I know the xbox 360 and xbox 1 has text chat and is a good way with communicating with others)

God, I'm really sad that I actually agree with a video that's negative on Splatoon 3 because all you said is true. SR2 being dlc/update is far more suitable than the entire Spl3 game being a dlc/update. You can't really take specials, weapons and abilities out of the game so it makes some sense to make a new game to wipe the state clean. The same doesn't apply to Salmon Run.
It was rather sad how I made multiple posts on social media to my friends about how Splatoon 3 couldn't have been a dlc/update, only for nintendo to immediately show something that SHOULD'VE been a dlc/update.
Also very based and factpilled that being a landlord isn't a profession-:_Falcon:

Honestly, the lack of improved dpad comms is almost a deal breaker on its own. These three trailers haven't convinced me there's enough in this game, but at least they could polish what we already have. It's sad.

I think every brand should have a shop selling 2 hats 2 shirts and 2 footwear, also a shop to put custom designs on your ink a exzample, you color ink is orange and when you look at your in a darking orange color makes a zigzag or the inkling logo or some design you can buy
