First time I ever heard this song was in a local South Boston Pub my Dad and GrandPa drank in about 65 years ago!!! Still LOVE it. We moved to Cape Cod the next year and the next time I was in that Pub was when my Brother and I came back from Vietnam. When we walked in, the Barkeep said “You are Billy Sullivan’s boys, aren’t ya?” We never got to buy a drink!!!!!!

Something that goes for over 6 minutes and you don't want to turn it off. It's the sign of great music!!!

That intro, pure emotion, that smile, no one else can make a fiddle sing like that, it can only come from the heart. I could listen for hours.

A band like this feeds on people's energy, put down your phones, live the moment...rock out with the band.

60-year-old African-American thin Lizzy fan here. Because I’m familiar with the 1970s version of the song I can understand how it means so much more to the Irish people than it does to anyone else. I really like this version because it’s not amateur.

I'm from Dallas and saw them at the Granada. Great shows. They were a fixture at the Great State Fair of Texas for years. Won over many new fans there.

I‘m from Magdeburg, East Germany. This weekend is the annual medieval Kaiser-Otto-Festival. An irish band was playing. I wished to play „whiskey in the jarre“ and so they did. After, in a break the singe from Dublin brought me a bottle of Connemara. And now I‘m sitting on my roofterrace and love my drink. Thanks Ireland.
