my French wife who was dying of breast cancer came to me one afternoon in a red dress and as your song says she looked amazing and absolutely beautiful. She passed away in 1996 but everytime I hear your song I think her her and I still get emotional hearing it and I will never forget this wonderful that brings a tear to my eyes. I know no one will care about this comment but that’s ok. My mom passed last year. She was gorgeous when she was younger. I’ll never forget how she told me that a tribute band once sang this song JUST FOR HER. She was in some bar in her early 40’s wearing a red dress and the lead singer noticed her and specifically sang this song just for her. My mom was truly gorgeous inside and out. I miss you mom. I love you ❤️

I bought my burgundy red "88 gt Mustang 5 speed 5.0 because of this song. I was sitting in the car debating whether I should purchase it, if I could afford it, etc. I turned on the radio and "Lady in Red" started to play and I took it as a sign. That was 35 years ago and I still own the Mustang. I am now 76. I made the right decision. I loved this song since the first time I listened to it on the radio.
