All these years I've enjoyed the Strokes, it still feels like I'm listening to them for the first time whenever I hear any track from Is This It. They truly captured lightning in a bottle with that album. What a debut!

This is great to hear. I knew they had re-recorded it for the album, but I didn't realise it would sound so differently vocally in those few months. Vocal reminds me of Elvis in places. Jim Morrision was a great Elvis fan too, or so I read recently in an old interview Julian did where he interviewed Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger (of The Doors).
I'd love to hear all demo versions of everything. I find it really interesting hearing how songs evolve. Really looking forward to the February release of singles, b-sides rarities etc
