Hey everyone! I'm still not sure exactly what to do with this series and category of story yet, but hopefully you find the first story to be a nice contrast to another recent story that didn't quite end so well. Have a great rest of your weekend!

In the first story, it's absolutely astounding that they were able to spot James. If you've ever seen video of what it looks like from the deck of a big ship, you'll know that it's almost impossible to see something in the water. Even something the size of a lifeboat is really hard to see, and you keep losing sight of it in the waves.

I find cruise disappearances particularly compelling/terrifying.

I had a neighbor named Brandy she is a paraplegic. When she was like 18 she was driving home from school and wanted to listen to certain CD but dropped it as she bent forward to reach and feel for it she for a split second lost control of her car and ran off the road and flipped her car in a ravene. When she awoke she was trapped and couldn't move because she broke her back...she said she tried to get out but couldn't. She was there for 3 days, everyone was looking for her...but her grandfather decided to try and retrace what her route was, just so happened he noticed slight tire tracks in the grass he pulled over and walked a little way that's when he saw her car. Drs said she wouldn't have survived another day, it just so happened they didn't cut the grass so he was able to see tracks in grass. She is a paraplegic but is grateful to be alive and loves her grandfather. If you drop something just wait til you park to pick it up.

Small correction for anyone a bit confused: at 9:18, lidocaine is not a sedative. It is a numbing agent, the same as novocaine at the dentist. The last thing you want when working on yourself is a sedative. Amazing video, but just wanted to fix that mistake for anyone who was confused by it, or wondering how she operated on herself when sedated.

As someone who has cancer and had to have multiple biopsies it is just wild to me that she was able to perform this on her own body. She obviously was very strong, R.I.P.

It is a nice change of pace to hear some stories that turn out alright when compared to everything else on the channel. I'm all for one of these every 5 or so videos to clear the air and give us a little hope back after hearing the most horrible tales.

your mindset and how badly you want to survive can be the difference between you drowning in an inch of water and you surviving being impaled through the head with something. jerri's story is absolutely insane, imagine having to teach the people around you how to keep you alive as you're doing your best to keep yourself going

James was definitely drugged. Doesnā€™t matter how drunk you are, cold water will wake that ass up.

Please continue the series. Itā€™s nice to know they made it and thereā€™s a lot of ā€œthis is the depressing way someone diedā€ out there.

I don't think that free drink was worth treading water in the inky dark ocean as driftwood impersonation was worth it.

Gerri is a hero to me. My mother passed away from breast cancer. I think she's a wonderful advocate, even after her death, that everyone (no matter who or where they are) needs to check themselves. I hope she rests in peace. Her experience and knowledge lives on in her story. Thank you, Gerri and I'm so so sorry šŸ©·šŸ©·šŸ©·

I believe James when he says he wasn't drunk when he fell into the water. Alcohol can accelerate the effects of dehydration and exhaustion to the point that a person lost at sea would have little hope of surviving long before either losing the strength to swim or succumbing to the urge to drink sea water. He had to be both incredibly alert and physically fit to have made it out of that situation alive.

You should defo include Juliane Koepcke in one of these future videos - she free fell 2 miles out of plane into the jungle at 17 years old and survived

I really like the survival stories as a series. You get a lot more interesting details from someone who gets to explain it afterwards! And it's a nice change of pace from death and mystery.

I love this series. I actually prefer a little break on your channel where I know for sure they'll make it in the end šŸ˜‚ It's a nice breather from the anxiety.

I can't help but cringe when someone has to move when they have a broken bone! It makes me cringe because of the pain! What strong, courageous and determined people! In all 3 stories! Thank you! šŸ˜Šā¤

make it a series. the stories play out the same, just ending is different. doesn't make envisioning what the individual/s goes through any less terrifying.

Yes, please make this a permanent series. After listening to many different channels similar to this, its refreshing to hear some good news and positive outcomes. Thank you for your time and dedication!
