This game was basically the Adam Sandler's Grown Ups of video games. A bunch of arguably very talented people just really wanted to do a project together and have fun, and so they did...without actually caring if it was particularly good or if people would like it.
And I guess Molly didn't like it since she left the project, but I know Airdorf said he might be willing to try and revive the idea with another leading lady.

They were weirdly oblivious to the fact the story was playing out completely different a few times. Arin fully opened the medicine cabinet in the bathroom to see actual contents and NOT a tunnel to escape, then closed it like "that's the escape so let's look around somewhere else"
