I got fired from my Exec VP corporate job last year and I was unable to find another job that paid the same level to keep afloat my house and car payments. So I sold it all and took the house equity and bought a 5th wheel and truck. My wife, 2 kids and I live full time in it. It was a scary leap of faith but now it’s been 9mos we are so happy. Never again at 50 will I go back to the corporate rat race. I work at RV parks where we work running the office and maintenance. We homeschool our kids and their education is more than just reading books when we can show them historical things instead of just reading about it. Money is tight and I can’t buy the toys like I used to. That’s ok now because it is not about things but more about quality of life and experiences. It’s a paradigm shift and we’re happy. This lifestyle isn’t for everyone but for those it is….its an achievement once you reach it. Good luck and stay strong! Align yourself with people that genuinely care about you and aren’t fakes like in corporate life.

As a man, dropping the "real man" BS is a super freeing experience. You can be who you are and that's it. It doesn't mean you have to go full on 180 and being against everything stereotypically manly, but it also means you don't have to do anything just because "that's what men do" or refrain to do something you want to do because "men don't do that". If every men was exactly the same, we would live in a very boring world.

Every child deserves to have parents that love and support them, that includes being open and interested in your child's interest, no matter how challenging it may be to the parent. I too had an unsupportive family and it still hurts. Mom died of cancer a few years ago. I miss my mom and I miss what I never had. We are supposed to put on a brave face. Face the world. Be strong. In the words of the great French actress, Catherine Deneuve, "Americans are happy, even when it kills them." I remember when Hurricane Sandy swept through the Northeast and just days afterwards, the TV jingles commenced, "Stronger than the Storm!" People are tone deaf. People died and many of their loved ones will never be strong again... and don't get be started about Sandy Hook and Uvalde.

I'm really happy for you. I'm 23 years old and I also have my own problems with my parents. Yesterday I completed one month since I moved out of my parents house to my own apartment. (To Americans moving out at 23 may look weird since I didn't move out when I was 18, but in my culture you only move when you are going to live with a partner, which is around 30 years old).
I'm at peace, I started therapy too and it's been going well. Bless you :)

Josh, I'm, SO VERY, PROUD of the man I've seen you become over the last couple of years (give or take) that I've been watching your channel.
I don't comment often; just give the video a like and move on. But, I feel like this one warrants a KUDOS to you for being mature enough and humble enough to admit your wrongs, yet, still, stand up for your rights. You have done an OUTSTANDING job in this video doing all that.
And, by the way, I, too, have wanted many, MANY times to just give you a BIG OL' "MAMA" hug and hold you like I'd hold my own baby boys (who are ages 31 and 24, btw). As well, I've, so often, wished I could just talk to you. I'm pretty sure I could have made you see things differently way back then (what I mean is ~ see things more along the lines you do now).
I guess what really matters, at this point, is you DO see things differently now and I'm sure I can speak for ALL your online family ~ We are SO HAPPY FOR YOU that YOU are finding true happiness in your life.
I wish you so much more continued success on your journey to heal from your past and that you live every single day to its, absolute, fullest. Trust me, Son, it will FLY past you. Don't blink, Son. ❤
