"Let it ride, let it ride," I know this isn't your song, but your voice sounds incredible on it, the chicken man song as well. Such interesting choices for covers, outside your normal sound but such powerful rhythms and sung so beautifully.
You keep getting better with every performance. There's a line in my favorite movie (sci-fi), one character asks the other if he could ask another version of himself one thing, what would it be. He replies, "Wanna play a video game?" then pauses and adds, "he'd probably beat me," the tone suggesting a sense of self-defeat, being his own worst enemy. I like that interpretation, but you just made me see it differently. The one to beat is himself, a self-challenge and a victory, himself being the present state and the alternate version his betterment. Wondrous to witness these victories in you.

I would love to hear you do a cover of "Reach out I'll be there" by the four tops. Great, classic song, that I haven't really heard a cover of that hits different from the original. They all sound kinda the same. I think it's something your soulful voice would help open it up. If I had a modicum of your musical talent I'd try it myself, but my voice just can't do what yours does.
