Mia Khalifa was born and raised in Lebanon, moving to America in 2001. After almost a decade, Mia has transitioned to become a modern public figure and influencer, rated the number one emerging influencer of 2022 by Lefty. After speaking out a few years ago regarding her experience with contractual exploitation in the adult film industry, Khalifa has worked to educate women about the dangers of exploitation in the field, and will be taking to the stage to talk about boundaries, both personal and professional.

ABOUT THE OXFORD UNION SOCIETY: The Oxford Union is the world's most prestigious debating society, with an unparalleled reputation for bringing international guests and speakers to Oxford. Since 1823, the Union has been promoting debate and discussion not just in Oxford University, but across the globe.

The Oxford Union is deeply grateful and encouraged by the messages of support in response to our determination to uphold free speech. During our 200 year history, many have tried to shut us down. As the effects of self-imposed censorship on university campuses, social media and the arts show no signs of dissipating, the importance of upholding free speech remains as critical today as it did when we were founded in 1823. Your support is critical in enabling The Oxford Union to continue its mission without interruption and without interference. You can support the Oxford Union here: oxford-union.org/supportus

LMAO imagine showing this to Oxford students a century ago in 1923. I'd love to see their reaction. Oxford as an institution is finished.

Outrageous! This conversation is about as mentally stimulating as a youtube influencerā€™s video. Iā€™m ashamed that Oxford has fallen so low. My grandfather went to Oxford in the 1950s and it was a different place then.

Kids are going to think this is a good route to follow in lifeā€¦porn and then being called to speak at a prestigious University. Whatā€™s the point of doing the hard things in life when you can get where you want to be by using your body instead of your mind and degrading yourself. There are other places she can speak about her struggles, maybe podcasts and tv shows but not a place where hard work and dignity should be primordial.

Mia, I had a great 43 year career as a Respiratory Therapist. After suffering and defeating cancer, my Thyroid failed. Years later my doctors overdosed me on Thyroid medication. I developed Bipolar mania and ended up in jail. I lost everything. The only thing that my small town remembers was the last thing I did. I support you in your journey. Mistakes are made for whatever reason. Keep your chin up, and your options open.
