Fantasia was not made specifically for children. It was Disney's grand experiment to showcase animation as an artform by paring it with classical music. Hence animators were given the freedom to create stories with more adult themes and challenge the perception that animation was merely kid stuff. 😊

Honestly the scariest part for me has always been when the ghosts were coming out of the ground.
They aren’t animated and are completely still, other than them floating away and rippling a bit. Their limbs, their heads, nothing moves. It’s just so creepy.
