Former technician for chuck e cheese here, can confirm an F is the deserved ranking. Don't let your kids touch anything that isn't meant to be handled while playing the games. The amount of half assed repairs, botched jury rigs or just flat out ignored safety concerns is completely inexcusable bordering on down right malicious. Seeing as how corporate wants 100 hours of work done in 45 hours per week, its not completely the fault of the techs, unless they do the previously mentioned half assed botch work. I had another tech come to my store for the day to help me out, and when they left, the last game they worked on was literally smoking. Didn't say a word to me, I had to follow my nose to figure out what was burning. On a different note, if you substitute the marinara sauce for the garlic butter, the pizza actually come out pretty damn good.

the thing that saved the ps3 is the fact that multiplayer online video games were free to play with no subscriptions needed, all you had to do was provide your own internet

Sega Genesis and PS1 were the most influential consoles in my life. PS1 had so so many amazing games.

Gamecube was so underrated for the time and imo it still holds up with the right setup - it just had so much charm and games ran flawlessly.
Fighting games like Soul Calibur II or Bloody Roar all ran at 60fps compared to frame drop among the Xbox/PS2 competition, introduced asymmetric multiplayer with Pacman Vs & Four Swords Adventures, and most of all, it gave us Super Smash Bros. Melee... That alone should put it in S-Tier for life haha

The Playstation 1 and the Super Nintendo are my two favorite consoles growing up, but I still remember the day my dad brought home a Sega Genesis in 1989 living in Chicago. It was super hype after we saw our neighbor had one with Sonic The Hedgehog when he came out.

That Sega comment about Sony wasn't made by Tom Kalinske, It was to Kalinske by the head of SEGA Japan when Tom was trying to make the Sony deal happen.
Tom Kalinske even said that Sega of Japan turning Sony down was the dumbest decision in business history.

The Genesis was an S-tier system IMO. Yeah, the SEGA-CD and the 32X were a bit weird (the 32X more so), but the Genesis shouldn't get a knock from its peripherals that didn't match up to it. Even when the SNES took the No.1 slot a while later during the 16-bit era, the Genesis still had many killer games coming out for it. It was SEGA's best system, and offered up a lot of fantastic games and franchises during its life. The SEGA Master System would be a B-tier for me, as while Nintendo was doing all it could to suffocate it via licensing shenanigans, the SMS still got a good number of fantastic games (including some unexpectedly good 16-bit ports from the Genesis). Plus, the Genesis could play basically all of the Master System games with the Power Base Converter (including the 3D ones), which was a nice bonus.
Also, can't let the 8-bit line of computers from Atari go without a mention. The 400/800 computers were basically consoles with some extra capabilities, as they had cart slots to plug in games with. And those carts carried some pretty damn good ports of various arcade games at the time, including some Nintendo IPs. They also had a pretty wide selection of original titles for the carts. The Atari XEGS basically continued the line, with its own line up of carts that featured arcade ports and original titles, and it had backward compatibility with a lot of the 400/800 carts. This made for a pretty big library of stuff to enjoy with the XEGS... including a fantastic port of Mario Bros.
But, that's just my take on it all.

Slight correction. You quoted Tom Kalinske for calling the partnership with sony stupid, but it was actually him quoting Sega of Japans CEO. Kalinske was on board with the partnership with Sony.
