Regarding space-stuff and cruising, we were on Mardi Gras returning to Port Canaveral and we noticed that we were REALLY rocketing along on the last night, at 22-23 knots. Then we found out that NASA was launching its Lucy probe from Canaveral early that morning and the Captain was trying to get us into port and out of the range-safety area for the launch, otherwise they'd have to scrub it. We made it into the port just in time to watch the launch from the Deck 8 aft pool...and it was awesome.

We were on a cruise headed for the Amazon when the Captain announced the cancellation of our next stop at Devil's Island due to a rocket launch from French Guiana. It was impressive to watch the launch. On the return voyage, we did make the stop at Devil's Island.
