Es una manera de decir que a veces importa más lo que aparentas que lo que realmente eres. Su novia Aja siempre ha sido muy fan de la estrellas y sus significados, pero parece que es algo que no muestra en público por el que dirán.
Esos mismos comentarios externos parece que afectan su relación y los atormentan, juzgando a Dan, por ejemplo, por no ser cariñoso con ella.
La canción intenta explicar que nada de esto importa.
"¿Y que? ¿Que importa si es lo único que nos podemos dar como dicen ellos?
"Quizás los lugares hayan cambiado" (en referencia a la distancia) pero como pareja siguen siendo las misma personas, ella lo conoce, ella sabe quién es él y es lo único valioso.
Quizás para otros no es suficiente lo que cada uno se puede ofrecer, en cuestión de tiempo o amor. Pero no importa lo que digan, importa lo que sientan ellos.
