I really like that soundtrack!
And I don't know what came first, the dialogue or the soundtrack, but a lot of the dialogue is in sync with the music, which turns it into a rap, almost. Or a ballet, modern dance. Performance art. Intriguing!
Watching this film in a theater has to be so wonderful!

Self - help movements and gurus do always tend to place much heavy emphasis the key role of self - determination.
The "You Decide" theory is therefore the backbone of many slick motivational talkers.
Did not it all begin with a sinful wilful notion of simply " Doing what thou wilt " -- why of course -- yes we do need to set out our lives based upon and centred around who we truly are both -- inside & out.
What others may think or believe is true is ultimately an opinion only.
Here is a film that explores such moral concepts.
Its engaging too; rather topical and also a well done drama.
It also poses many moral delimmas -- society has big needs to ; can they be met along with the individual needs & wants ?
Is it just a reworking of an Old Formula of standard capitalism ? Is greed good - again ?
Its almost Biblical on some ways ; you know as Adam [ not a great listener ! ] gets quite carried away with a JustDoing his own thang, baby !

Its always wise to listen well - but then again - your Path is yours alone to follow.

I'm retired. At this stage of my life, I dont think I woild listen to a motivational speaker. The guy is full of crap.. The character, is a Hollywood type . He's egocentric, self absorbed, and with a shallow relationship, with his girl friend. Its all about money. People spend tons of money, to hear a speaker, speak about deciding what u want to do with your life. That's Hollywood !

It's not well made. The intention is all right, but they stopped short when it came about the making of the movie. The annoying uses of cigarettes to only have an almost absent justification at the end does not come across as well thought. In 2024 it's a lot of annoyance for nothing.
There are surely better ways to describe in a movie the social transformations affecting Western countries due to the social networks phenomena, a way that is not too claustrophobic, with elements of action for instance. To transpose social observations into a thriller of some sort.
The impact of social networks will only go deeper as augmented reality starts to be offered to the masses. Augmented reality devices will very likely be made by many companies, just like the smartphones, and sold at more affordable prices.

Every single description of this movie says he is a motivational speaker "when a catastrophic event hits." None of them says what the catastrophic event is, which makes it obvious they are all just quoting from IMDB. What is the catastrophic event?
