Gummy dosage forms are a nice innovation that can help with adherence, however should be approached with caution as the downside risk can be substantial

0:00 A Man Ate 120 Gummy Probiotics 🦠 For Lunch
0:29 29 seconds in and we're already 😏 here
1:52 haha gummy probiotic 😋 go nom nom
2:50 stomach 😞 hurt (but is it the stomach?)
3:25 What's happening 😳 in 😳 his 😳 abdomen?
4:51 There's a country of more than 1 billion people where dentistry is not separate from medicine. As insurance spirals out of control here, separating them makes us even less healthy.
5:39 Another important clue
7:04 Despite any memes, we've told you many details of this case to give you an idea of what's happening
8:10 What 😳 is 😳 that??
10:38 Sorry Bacteria 🦠 u can't 😩 be 😖 here
11:24 So what 😲 exactly 😲 happened?
11:58 I'm definitely not wearing a different suit than earlier in the video
12:18 These are scarier than BC's case, but very rare and not likely to happen to you
13:05 Greek Yogurt good
13:19 The answer to this question might be yes. But ask your dentist for your particular case.
14:08 Take only as directed. Do not exceed suggested dosage. That's the takeaway from this video. Take care of yourself 🙏 and be well.

These cases are patients who I, or my colleagues have seen. They are de-identified and many instances have been presented in more depth in an academic setting. These videos are not individual medical advice and are for general educational purposes only. We do not give medical advice over the internet.

"He'd eaten 50 gummies the day before"... "He started eating more than he should" STARTED?

"He accidentally ate 120 gummies for lunch" is a sentence I'd never thought I'd hear.

Updated: My mom could be on this channel in the future. She put 8 ounces of myrrh essential oil on her whole body to anoint herself. Her eyes became needles, her blood pressure went so high she couldn't communicate, she had seizures. It was nuts. I am glad she is alive. Update: it seems like as of today she is mostly if not all okay from it. I should have said her pupils became needles. Thank you to all the concerned people. I honestly have no outlet to talk to anyone about how crazy she is getting outside of my therapist once a week. My sister still won't have anything to do with her, so it is all on me. She never lets go of pain. 😥 I wish I could teach her to forgive.

I used to think chubbyemu vids were a bit embellished. Then, my 30-year-old buddy had a near-fatal stroke caused by an inner ear infection. Against the odds, he made a full recovery. So, yeah... Sometimes sh*t really goes sideways.

This channel is like those clickbait fake news ads on shady websites, except clicking here gets you actual interesting content without any of the spyware. Nice :)

My mom died from infective endocarditis. They figured it came from her teeth. They pulled all of her teeth and had her on IV antibiotics. But 2 days before she was supposed to have valve replacement surgery, she had a stroke. She lived 2 months after that before she died at home. Please take care of your teeth.

Registered Dental Assistant here and it absolutely terrifies and angers me that the United States keeps medical and dental care separate. Not only does it make it totally unaffordable, but also limits access to dental education. Most of my patients are over the age of 60 and 80% (not an actually stat but an educated guess) tell me that they were never taught the importance of taking care of your teeth and how it effects your overall health. Our office is small (just 1 doctor, 1 hygienist, 1 office manager and 1 assistant) so we don’t see a lot of patients but I’ve seen enough to know that if medical and dental would be together I would have healthier and happier patients. We do a lot a work that we know we are never going to see a dime for simply because they are suffering and no one will help them

I'm assuming the gut infection causing a major case of the runs was C-Diff, yeah? My father had gotten C-Diff after receiving vancomycin for a bad staph infection in his right big toe. His infectious disease doctor actually recommended he take a probiotic supplement (by following the normal dosage, of course) to combat C-Diff's tendency to grow back after a full course of antibiotics. Not only did his C-Diff never come back after a full course of Dificid, but he felt even better than before. I think the moral of the story here is that everything is best when consumed in moderation. Anything in extreme excess can be deadly. Side note, watching your videos has inspired me to apply to medical school to become a neurologist! Thank you Chubbyemu!

My dad also had a broken heart valve, started out really inconspicuous with him being a bit short of breath. GP thought it was pneumonia at first so they prescribed him something to manage the shortness of breath. But then one day he nearly had a heart attack or infarct (i can't remember) in his sleep and he drove himself to the hospital, which was about 30 minutes away. Once there they quickly realised he had almost died and rushed him to a bigger hospital ,with one of the best cardiology departments in the country, by ambulance. Took them a few days to figure out what exactly was going on but eventually they replaced his heart valve with the valve of a pig's heart, which I think is kinda neat lol. Anyway, he recovered in full and his heart has been so healthy as of late that they are scaling back some if his cardiology appointments.

I love how organs are so intolerant of random things, two bottles of pepto bysmol, gas station sushi, bleach, 120 probiotic gummies, a gallon of soy sauce, pesticides

My parent had heart surgery a few months ago. I was surprised how seriously they took his dental health before and after the surgery. Turns out proper dental care is vital for overall health but the US doesn't treat it as such. Dental and vision should ALWAYS be included in healthcare and it's bull$hit that it's not.

I just wanted to say the phonology is extremely helpful, breaking down words to understand their definition is an amazing excercise that will let you know the definition of words without having to check, and I've been obsessed with it my whole life, it always helps when you break down a biology word into the origins of each part of the word.
