I'm so glad you posted this! I'm a purist in most things and really want to make sure I am doing my best to craft my vocals as if singing in a closet, acapella with nothing else! If I am not happy with my voice at that point, I'd rather not go on. What you give here are the basics about taking it from a solid acapella performance to that next level. Spending the time getting connected to the song and feeling it in your body makes all the difference. Then, who needs that many plugins? Thanks again Charles!

Great explanations. I'm sure over time I will learn how to do all those cool things you mentioned for tweaking vocals. Right now I'm only using the built in Vintage Vocal plug in because I don't know how to do the tweaking yet

Great video! I'm starting to get more into vocal production (never done it before) and I'm struggling to hear differences in my dry recording singing in the center of my room vs in the corner vs in the corner with a blanket over me etc. My ear is probably not trained enough to hear these things, but perhaps you'd have some pointers as to what to focus on when listening to where the best setup of the room might be? Things I'm trying to listen for are reflections. The mic I'm using is a Shure SM57 with a pop filter, if that helps at all.
