56 year old metalhead here! And this just blew me away, Kasey Chambers you deserve a bow, a standing ovation, and that heavy hitting crescendo, was the most epic piece of awesomeness. Never heard a better live performance ever!!! The angst, eeriness, darkness, edginess, rage, tears, and everything else mixed in, (Banjo Shredding 💕), and it was beautiful! Thank you Kasey, and all band members, what a blessing in disguise.

"Nah, it's not possible.. surely... to put all the angst, frustration, pain, sorrow, trauma, sweetness, beauty and then anger, rage, determination and humanity into one performance?".... Casey Chambers... "Hold my beer!"... Fuck me, that is hands down the most powerful thing I have ever experienced, probably the most powerful performance ever recorded. It's a joy beyond my capacity to express to watch it. I especially adore that one moment before the last refrain where she sings "The last chance that I got... " and backs away from the mic singing "got" (is singing the right word?) and the she literally "Loses Herself"... completely for just a moment. And Casey, every time I watch and hear that moment.. I lose myself too! Brilliant.. Thank you Casey, I see you and it's magnificent!

I'm a VERY old bugger at 83 and the first time I watched a reaction to this song, I was totally blown away. As you may expect, I'm not a huge rap or hip-hop fan, but I must say I have watched this performance probably 50 times, maybe more. WOW, she really kills it and her old man really shreds that lap/steel guitar.... what a performance from a very talented singer... "still getting over it" :washhands::washhands::washhands::washhands::washhands:

This clip doesn't do the performance justice, I was there in the audience that night, and the whole crowd had a raw electrified emotional intensity running through it that just kept building with every verse as she went. I'm tearing up now just reliving the memory of those feelings in the moment. I'm not particularly what you'd call a 'fan' of Kasey Chambers or country music (there are very few artists I'd say I am), IMO she's a great song writer though, and she is hands down one of the best live performers ever! If you haven't seen her live, do yourself a favour.

Please do not call this a cover. That is simplistic for this masterpiece. This is a complete deconstruction and rebuild into, what has to be the most incredible musical experience I have felt in a very very long time.Your use of dynamics.. both with your voice and the band help bring your audience on a once in a lifetime journey. I have so much more to say but I need to freaking listen again... for at least the 40th time.
Thank you so much!

Anyone else first see this on a reaction video, then proceeded to watch it a hundred times? 🤯
