Your playing is so beautiful Dave. I picked up a guitar 2 years ago because of your channel but i am 60 in july so my progress is slow but i enjoy it.
Brought the nux mighty air when saw your video on it and trying to play The loner with it.
On your nux air video you did a brilliant performance with it but i been hitting my head trying to get near it. I would be very grateful for any help on settings. Many thanks Peter

A big, heartfelt thank you to you, Dave. Three months ago I got hooked on the idea of learning how to play guitar. I'm not in a great spot financially so I thought "hey, let's just build one" (sadly did not know how awesome even some of the cheap guitars are back then aaaaand also underestimated how much tools and stuff would cost, lol). I love doing things on my own though, ended up building a lovely Tele I can call my own now. It's not perfect but it's mine. That journey was already wonderful. Now, how do I play this thing? I stumbled through various videos and channels from all sorts of people. It's interesting, I'm 27 and for some reason it's easy to get lost in the pursuit of doing things the "right" way and in the end one does nothing at all because one is so caught up to search for the way.
I found your channel because I did end up doing some budget guitar research since I'm having a hard time stopping myself from getting one of those as well as a reference point. I don't really have any idea how close to "good" the one I fabricated is, since I'm lefthanded it's a bit harder to grab someone's guitar to get a feel. I watched your video on the Jet guitar which was lovely, I was blown away by your playing. I ended up watching a bunch of other videos. I came to learn about budget guitars and now I couldn't been happier having found an awesome individual who already taught me some valuable lessons about happiness, how to learn (what that one guitar teacher told you, "if there's something you really don't feel like learning - don't! focus on what you enjoy learning", really stuck with me and it's been eye opening). I've been picking some songs I like and can play some basic chords along those, today I learned a very simple solo from a song I love. It's been an absolute blast, haven't been this happy in a while. I can't really word this well but your approach, your authenticity, good vibes and incredible skill and the emotions you put into your songs have brought a ton of good stuff into my life lately. Keep it up, you're killing it <3
