40K needs more Xenos perspectives and stories told from Xenos point of views. It was a srenght of Fantasy. It's a mistake 40K is ignoring this aspect. Even a lot of fan content, is always through the Imperial lense.

I could not be entirely up to date on Tau lore, but the Tau empire is relatively stable at the moment. You could even say as a faction, they are the biggest winners from the cicatrix maeladictum opening. Commander Farsight understands that the Etherals plan cannot be revealed to the populace and the secrets the etherals hold as well. He also holds great respect for both Shadowsun and Aun'Va for their mastery of Kauyon. The only major issue I can see is the 4th sphere expansion fleet which is actively being censured by Shadowsun. Hell, the greater good supplement should have been a tau victory with total control of the area but no gains can come from those 8th ed supplements unless you are Space Marines.

I remember in one book a water caste tau kept a pistol in a draw in case 'she was taken away in the night'. That and the worship of ethereals and that Aun'va is still in charge even though he's dead. All very North Korea.
