"You blind yourself alone, and then you're not alone." It's a creepy song about closing your eyes when you think nobody's there but there might be and you're afraid of that because of all the possibilities. It is a song about fear of the unknown, and ultimately, a song about the origins of prejudice and how it has effected human culture over the last century. The steps he uses in each verse are different, coinciding and reflecting with an event in relation to the songs inspirational material, prejudice. The above verse refers to the act of blinding yourself from what makes you different in order to see you are less different than you originally thought. Very introspective lyrics.
