Ban fried toothpicks. And only allow baked toothpicks for consumption. Or boiled toothpicks.

Just because they aren't made out of plastic doesn't mean there isn't cancer causing materials in the toothpicks. Some people.

Korean toothpicks are NOT made out of wood! It is made of corn or potato starch! Why is it that the western media doesn’t bother to explain that???? Despite the fact that it is made of starch, it is not known what happens to it when fried -hence the advisory! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

What are Korean fried toothpicks made of? (answer below) Food coloring is used to impart a green hue to the toothpicks, made from "sweet potato or corn starch," which are seen as being environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Often used in restaurants in South Korea, they can also be used to pick up finger foods.

Cellulose is added to processed foods. Cellulose is derived from sawdust or cotton lint.

Look up South Korean toothpicks. They are made from corn or potato starch and sorbitol, a fruit sugar alcohol. Green food coloring is often added. They are meant to be biodegradable not exactly ingested. They dont have wood toothpicks there like the US. This is mostly from popular "muckbang"videos which is nothing like tide pods challenge 🤦🤷
