I'm so glad that the husband got his backbone back. As for the wife, she knows why she slept with the affairs partner. I had this to happen to me, but we were not married, and no child was involved. She tried to get me back, but I did not say we would get back together. I got to the point that after some time, I would not speak to her anymore. After a time, she got married, but every time I saw her afterward, she looked mad and always walked two steps ahead of her husband. She finally got the nerve to call me and ask if we could be friends. I told her I did not have friends with her character traits and hung up.

As a betrayed spouse, I understand not wanting to miss 50% of your childrenās lives. But realistically, as a working man, we miss lots of our childrenās lives even when married. And, having been divorced for four years, I appreciate having downtime, freedom and independence. Don't believe for a second that it was a one time "mistake" and the only time she cheated. Its just the only time she got caught, even if was 10 years after the fact. Hell, if you want to have some fun, hint at reconciliation, but only if she takes a lie detector test to prove this was the only time, and watch her squirm as she tries to come up with reasons the test would be inaccurate.

I had a customer a few years ago, young guy in his 20s. Had a toddler with an absolute shit-slut of skank. Horrible woman, treated the kid badly. He tried to get custody. Found out he wasn't the bio-dad. He had been clean for 5-6 years. Went back to the needle and OD'd a couple of days after reveal. It's really bad when a man gets zero'd out. At that company, I asked all the women, as a hypothetical, if it should be mandatory that babies are DNA tested with the putative father before their names are put on the birth certificates. 7 women all said no, that would be "unfair".
