Hi. I have seen a few pairings of jumping spiders. When they mate, the. Male get on top of the female facing her back end. Then, he turns over her abdomen to face him. It looks like he is rolling her over but only her abdomen flips. They can go for many seconds. It isn't instant. I have seen them go more than once in an encounter. So, I don't think your spiders actually mated since the male never got into position on top of the female. There are good videos of this on YouTube. I suggest you check them out. That said, I love your videos! I have followed you for a few years now. I used to be severely arachnophobic. Your videos helped me heal from that. I love your accent, too! Congratulations on your new family life. Be well.

I don't think they did the deed, jumping spiders mate differently to other spiders, the male should mount the female, his head on her abdomen and he would turn her abdomen to the side and penetrate from there, usually going in from both sides with stamina 😂. They were still doing the mating dance and never got to the actual deed itself. 😢

Hey Petko! I just wanted to put my two cents into the situation. The pairing attempt did not look successful because the male never seemed to turn the females abdomen to the side to place his pedipalps into the females epigyne . The male kinda just tried to court but the female did not seem to be very interested in mating.

Hello Petko. I am a huge fan of your videos!! I have been breeding regals for years, and unfortunately, yours did not pair. Usually, when the male does his dance; and if the female is ready, she won't move at all and let him do his thing. It's almost like a trance that she's in. And it's definitely not just a second. It'll take a few minutes . And I would usually just have them both out of their houses in an open space. Then they see each other right away, do the dance trance, and get er' done. Then I put them back. And you could tell that she didn't want to pair yet because she was trying to get away from him. So you'll just have to try another time. I don't have any jumpers myself right now because my last male lived over a year and a half and then passed away. Unfortunately, because my husband has stage 4 colon cancer and is on hospice, I haven't had much time to see about getting a couple of new babies. But right now, I do have 3 tarantulas. I have a curly hair ( which I have a couple of videos on my channel), a pink toe, and a Hati Hati sling. But if you ever have any questions, feel free to get in touch. I'm also an artist and have made some designs you might like. Just let me know. Take care!!
