if anybody is wondering what's happening in the dragonspine scene,
basically chongyun is extremly sensitive to heat, so when he hears about an evil spirit in dragonspine, he travels there only wearing a light shirt and even though he was cold, he decided to dig a hole and wait in a frozen lake for the spirit to show up (the spirit turned out to be a rabbit) afterwards, he got a really bad fever. so NO he is NOT trying to drown himself, HES OK

I’m pretty sure the scene in dragonspine is the one from Chongyun’s story where he waited there in the icy water in a small amount of clothes for a while to hunt an evil spirit but it turned out to be an animal and he got really sick
