Your typical battered womens shelter in America does not give a woman enough time there to get back on her feet. Ditto for homeless shelters that often find themselves trying to help the mentally ill that were thrown into the streets after asylums were closed. The handfull of agencies that are trying to house the homeless in America do not have enough beds or funding to be able to really change the lives of their clients, which leads to them giving a time limit on how long a client can stay there. Why should it be any different for unhoused migrants? Especially for the migrants that are not running from danger but just thought they could strike it rich in America. I wish them all the best. I hope they can have better lives for themselves and their children. But they need to understand that they have no right to expect things that even our own citizens can't have.
