My friend is Ismaili, she said the spirit of Ali lives through the imam. So when Kar Agha khan passed, the spirit transferred to the next imam. And they seek/call pit to Ali through happiness, hardships, etc. my question is why is faith Ismailis so centered around Ali ra when he is dead and only a human? We don't even do that to the prophet saw, for he was a messenger only. I used to think it's borderline shirk, but it is full on shirk to revere Ali like that. I never hear Allah on their tongues...

You thoughts are not only against Ismaili but against the whole Muslim communities. Ismailis governed the world two times for hundreds of years and left many physical marks of development to this world such Alhazar University and Avecina or Abu Sina, his scientific knowledge are well known to the world today. If you go deep inside Ismaili, Suni and Shia communities you will find them brotherly and it is not new. It is coming this way for hundreds of years. You see what happened to Taj Mahal, Sheesh mahal and Badshai mosque era. Mostly their good (skilled)works ignored, the intellectuals of those eras described as women lovers and warriors, because of that no new skills of that era could carry by new generations to current. Resulting our most advanced Muslim communities went to poverty. They were called mostly Khan, Malik and so. now you call them Pathan. Vadera and so. South East Asian. mostly changed youngsters into salesman. No respect to the world state today. They are not allowed freely to travel around the world.
Today Ismaili Imam promote peace and elimination of poverty which are Muslim communities urgently needed. He says pluralism should be taken as strength not weakness. Please do your research current and visit places.
Our Muslim women were contributed for centuries in developments side by side with men but currently talking to put them in to a box. Still few traces remained in those hidden valleys. Looking after castles, drying fruits and making the best handcuffs. Go check within those valleys they make the best cheese, hats and carpets and much more. Few unknown scholars all day talking about marriage and not the rights of women. Do a true survey and make videos within those societies then you know how much women are suffering. What I understand our current Muslim generations ignored the past work of our Islamic intellectuals who they left many development across Asia as a whole but some bad habits people twisted the good works of them and gave them bad names as worriers and lover of women. Now you see their skill works could not continued by new generations there. I am talking The Era of Sheesh Mahal, and Taj Mahal or Badshahi mosque.
Today South East Asian are not respected by the world stage as should be. No added skills to their youngsters lives. Some people took control of bad habits and twisted the stories of Islamic civilization .because of that no new development happened in South Asia for long time now. 70 percent of populations are in poverty.
Example of such is the Taj Mahal of India, I read in a Muslim school book where, when Taj Mahal completed all the skilled people fingers were cut so, no one can make such building. That was in a Muslim school book and no other explanation at all. How hard it is to learn those skills by new generations, probably not. In movies mostly the Kings of Muslim who were left development across the continents, stories describing them lover or warriors. Nothing about the skills those people brought in and how new generations can carry on. Mostly Asian people are salesman.
