The act 3 Sharran merchant is actual not buying his wares. He sells a "ringless gem". Down the slope there's a corpse with a "gemless ring" and you can bring that to him to get him to confess.

Actually the game spans a bit more of the area of Faerun, the mountain pass takes place near/in the Trielta Hills.

I found out about sarevok a while ago and man. I read the note to my friends as we played and we all shuddered.
We were on good terms with him then (fantastic shop btw) but that ended when we learned this and ended how whole career.

Sad that there is not much more with Gortash (and Bane). But IMO he does the "Tyrant in their castle, behind their guards and walls" thing pretty well. And of course the boss fight is easier if you deal with the SteelWatch first... And/Or lure him out of his room.

where can you find sarevok's note about orin's ancestry? I've had jaheira and minsc in my party before the tribunal and he'll aggro once you ask them if they want to kill him again.

"It's like the axe has its own Jojo stand" That's exactly what the axe is a reference to. Sethan is the name of Alessi's stand, it wields an axe and de-ages people (hence the "Reduce" effect of the axe).
