At the end of the day, the WNBA is still a business. If the teams aren't making a profit, you can't expect them to increase player's salaries. If everyone that is complaining about the amount of money the women are being paid actually went to the games, they would be able to afford to pay them more.

It's nothing to do with sexism, It's basic economics, the WNBA whether you like it or not, is not as popular as the NBA or NFL etc. As a consequence, this means less investors and money, less money means that they can only dish out so much money. Seems about right for somebody who plays a game for a living. Sport contracts are recklessly out of control. How you gonna pay someone the cost of an entire stadium like we're about to be doing on the regular in other leagues? Stadium here, stadium there, every offseason. Education costs for an entire inner city just signed over to someone who can throw a ball good and might not even like playing. How is this okay with anyone?

The issue is the last WNBA media rights contract was just a bad deal that cost the WNBA millions. After next year there will be a new contract and ESPN/CBS have already signed on for millions. Times are changing.
