When you think about it, the Necromancer's plan was really smart. Taking the bodies of slain enemies back to the Evil Wizard's castle and waiting for the champions to enter the room before raising all of them again would have killed them for sure. And with the champions on his side, he would even be able to overthrow the wizard. It would have worked if only he had raised all of the dead. I can only assume arrogance and pride was his mistake, as he came down to fight them himself, now getting to know what death is like, himself.

The evil wizard might have been the main villain of the game and tried to rule the world, but the necromancer really was the one who did everything and did all of the dirty work.
