I guess I need to address this AI thing because I have seen this happen on quite a few videos on this channel. But first let me share what I think about the music and art. Do I think that this music is made with AI? Absolutely not. But yes, this is made electronically and has a signature sound in terms of production. That is quite evident. Being a mixing and mastering engineer with over 17 years of experience in the industry, I can confidently say that. Is the album art made with AI? Probably yes. I'm 90% sure. So, my questions to everyone dissing this album because of the cover art are: "Are you here on this channel to discover music or to discover art? Have you ever thought of the possibility that the artist behind this album might not have the money of spend on expensive album art because maybe he/she is just starting out and has used AI to represent the concept of the album through the art without intending any harm and that this would not have been possible otherwise? Also, does post-rock have to be always made with organic instruments and with no electronic elements? Where is this rule written?" I'm not saying that current situation of AI and art is good in any way. But until there is a law passed banning the use of AI in art, there is nothing we can do about it. As for the music, I think that this one is quite the electronic/psychedelic post-rock album that one might enjoy listening to. At least I did. Now, I have to say something before I wrap up this comment. Yes, I know we are all glorious social media warriors and we like to stand up for what we think is wrong. But that doesn't mean that we diss on something just because a part of it is created by AI. See... AI is nothing but a tool to use for various purposes including creativity just like a guitar or a keyboard or a drum set or even a Digital Audio Workstation or VSTs. If you want to ban the use of AI, then ban the use of DAWs or VSTs as well because they are also electronic tools, right? What we might forget is that we still need the human element to make AI do what we want it to do. Let's face it, AI is the undeniable future because big corporations and world governments have seen the benefits and value in using it. The more we learn how to use it and apply it in our day to day work, the more we will do better in our jobs. But yes, I will also admit that we need to have laws in place so that no copyright is infringed and dues are paid where they are due. Hope this comment matters! Peace!
