My way to cope with nihilism: If nothing matters, it should not matter that nothing matters.

Surprised you didn't mention Mr. Meseeks at all, a character it seems the writers created to perfectly embody cosmic nihilism. I mean, "existence is pain."

I'm so gonna call myself an nihilist instead of alcoholic now.

“I ate them all in one sitting because I have no self control and I hate myself” most relateable thing anyone’s ever said

I feel like you missed an opportunity with Mr. Peanutbutter. His message to Diane when she was about to go off on her philanthropic journey sounded suspiciously close to Cosmic Nihilism. He said “ The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.” Mr Peanutbutter has ultimately gone further beyond caring about the meaninglessness of existence, and rather than grasp for some legacy like Bojack does, he just does whatever he feels like.

On a "good" day, I am an existential nihilist. On a "bad" day, I am a cosmic nihilist. On average, I am somewhere between the two.

4:43 Mr. Peanutbutter is the “personification” (lol) of optimistic nihilism i think “ Life isn’t about the search for meaning but just to distract yourself with unimportant stuffs and eventually you will be dead” He just accepted the truth that life is meaningless and are happy to be a nobody. Why would you even bother ascribing meaning to something that’s inherently meaningless when the only thing that comes out of it is misery, alcoholism and just negativity? Life is a laugh and death is a joke so just take it easy and laugh along the way to your grave. That’s my two cents

I have a feeling if Rick & Bojack hung out they'd get drunk & Rick would talk Bojack into killing himself.

I think in the end nihilism can help us coop with our own fears and anxieties, by realizing noting matters we can just stay chill and do what we want.(I mean this subjectively) lol
