I "had" panic disorder, general anxiety disorder for almost 20 years. Finally I realized, when the panic or the anxiety act up for no reason at all, don't feed more fear to it as they will grow to an overwhelming point, instead let the feeling run through the body, and in that way they stay below threshold. One can definitely live harmoniously with fear. It's very unpleasant at first, but with experience and skill they cease to exist, because they are not 'real'.
