This song, its lyrics, basically sums up the Protestant teachings concerning the nature of the Blessed Virgin, Holy Mary... They seem to think that Jesus is her saviour - that she needed saving from her sins, like other women did, and do... Hence, the lyrics refer to a baby.. and a man... But what saith scripture? Her Saviour is God, whereas Our Saviour is the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a difference between the Father and the Son.. Lyrics, by Greenbaum :  "Gotta have a friend named Jesus.  Y'know it's a must. Cuz he's gonna set you up, with the Spirit in the Sky".... Many, it seems do not put difference between these three :  Christ, Lord, and God... And Catholics, also seem to get it wrong, when they speak of an Immaculate Conception - encouraging people to think that she had biological parents, whereas scripture leaves her "geneology" a mystery - as if she "appeared out of thin air", like the First Wives.  It would be a while before daughters would be born unto the sons of man.  Eve, she was in a sense "replicated" as the LORD said to her, "I will greatly multiply your conception"... And so, was it an 'arranged marriage' orchestrated by angels, when Joseph and Mary were put together?  That would be one explanation as to why Elizabeth called Mary her cousin, rather than her sister.  In contrast, Lot was the nephew of Abraham, but Abraham called Lot his brother... She is unlike any other woman upon the earth, since there is no sin in Jesus and Mary, and there never was... However, the Church is the Body of Christ.  Wherefore, He did condemn sin in his own body.  For they who believe are crucified there, on that Cross, with Him.  It is a temporal paradox.  A paradox being of two statements, both true, but which appear to contradict each other.  From an episode of the Simpsons, the drunken native asks Homer (preacher) :  "How can card be both Ace and One, huh?  What kind of a god would do that?"  Jesus did not call himself God, but he did say, I and my Father are one... The person who says, I, and the person who says, my, - the same?.. That said, like how this song sounds, that rockabilly twang.. reminds me of Buddy Holly... "You say you're gonna leave, but that's a lie, cuz that'll be the da-eh-hay, that I die"... Beware of the woman in red, Neo... Girls in green... OK, I guess... Nevertheless, something about Mary One-Step, here.
