Synopsis:
Eric & Oliver is a romantic short film following two queer college students, Eric, a family-oriented, hard-working, introvert, and Oliver, a confident, laid-back, empath as they fall in love while touching on issues of acceptance within the queer community.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Bio:
Dylan S. Baker is a 19-year-old sophomore TV/Film Major at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, and was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has been on set for 40+ short films, ranging from a Production Assistant all the way up the ladder to Director. Dylan’s primary focuses in filmmaking are Writing, Directing, Cinematography and even Acting. He is also the assistant producer of the 24th annual DeSales University Film Festival and is projected to be the head producer in 2026.

Eric & Oliver is my first professionally made short film since being in college, and It was really important for me to see a queer story about love and acceptance told in this way. This film is extremely important to me because it tells the story of my own personal journey with acceptance from my parents when I came out to them. I really hope this film helps someone out there like me feel seen and heard because, at the end of the day, we all just want to be accepted and loved for who we are.

Beautiful film! It's quite sad that kids still have to worry about homophobia in this day and age.

This was actually so refreshing to watch. A lighthearted film with still some depth in it. I feel like it was a really good representation of what we members of the LGBTQ+ community go through. Like showing the struggles queer people still have to deal with but also showing that we’re basically like everyone else and our love stories are like any others at the end of the day.

People who know little about the business, never appreciate the effort that goes into pulling/weaving all of the disparate parts together, to achieve a satisfying and cohesive whole. A very sweet & evocative film, capturing those nascent moments that at the time feel like climbing a mountain. Your two main leads did an excellent job & a shout out to direction, editing, lighting & of course script. Everyone involved should be proud of capturing an ephemeral experience that those of us lucky enough to have experienced can easily & happily empathise with. Kudos to you all & very best wishes to you&yours and the future.

This is an amazing short film. I came across this actually on TikTok and searched to film the full version of the film, as a fellow LGBT filmmaker, this brought tears to my eyes. This was a very simple beautifully written shorty. You have a very special talent, that will make you go far in this industry, keep up the amazing work!!

What a wonderful short film. I came across this by accident and I am so glad I did. A simple story yet so reflective of today's journey's to coming out from the shadows. I wish I had had something like this growing up to see. It would have been less painful for me and less feeling so lost and alone. Keep up the awesome story telling. The simplicity is so relatable. I loved it. It is - comforting!

Love the fact the gay representation isn’t over the top. Seems like the media prefers that image to the point of overuse.

This light tone fits perfectly with the story, acting and direction. Congrats. Is a really good short film. And, as good short films are, wanna more about Eric and Oliver. A big big hug from... Spain!

The Victoria Monet needle drop at the end is 👨🏽‍🍳🤌🏽 Only a queer filmmaker could make a choice that good 😌

This was just heartwarming to see two guys start being “in like” instead of jumping in bed that first day in the library ❤. I hope there are more films from you.❤️

6:07 I thought it would all turn out to be him imagining what would've happenend if he'd gone up to speak to him and that nothing actually did happen 😭 (I am so tired and that's why my comment may not make any sense-) I loved this short film
