It's a huge stretch to call this crew the Skatalites. Even so, there are some truly great veteran players up there- Andy Bassford on guitar, Val Douglas on bass, a couple of guys from the NYC ska scene, et. al. -so it's a top notch ska band no matter what you call 'em. And before now, I'd never seen a Skatalites lineup that included a conga player. The fact that this one has Larry McDonald makes it even sweeter.
Anyone know the name of that singing drummer?
