The cost of living was dirt cheap compared to today. 25¢ a gallon gasoline, 25¢ a loaf Wonder bread 🍞. A house rented for $100 a month rent no lease, no deposit, no first and last, included all utilities except for the $3 a month landline rotary phone bill. Great time, great people, great era, great country, great music, great time to be alive then. A time never to return again.

I never tire of this song. Although I was a child of the 60's and living in UK I wasn't old enough to "take part" fully in the flower power era but did manage to put flowers in my hair and sing this at the top of my voice much to the annoyance of others. Maybe I saw what they didnt however looking back it was one of the best era's ever and one I really would have been a part of. Happy days and lots of great memories.
