Idk, I think that was intentional, she was going for a look similar to the curls she rocked in the past, but now she usually wears a looser look. I don't think it was a mistake at all.

It looks fine. It looks more real, and maybe that's what she's going for? Who knows? I'm not sitting here getting bent out of shape because her album cover isn't an exact replica of the first one.

I said it on one Facebook post but my insight as a photo editor myself, I would automatically notice that since I'm keen to look on specific details. I would see that they photoshopped the curl since it will have the same lighting, hair movement, etc. Hair is complicated to be edited and would need to look natural in the final edit.
Tbh, I like it for what it is. I mean, it's a combination of her past and present self in one picture and a lil bit of straight hair is actually a nice touch. I don't want them to edit that out and be covered just because someone says it's wrong.

I like it. I think it makes her look more mature and like she is evolving. Not like she’s just trying to re-create some thing she’s done in the past which obviously she is doing that but just with extra Taylor flare.

I think part of the thing is that thing with her curls is that her hair used to be really curly but lost it along the way and that’s because of all the manipulation going on with straightening and styling. And to get your curls looking healthy again it takes a long time. At least a few months and maybe for a while she’s been working on them getting back and they don’t look perfect right now.
Also why do women’s hair need to be perfect and polished all the time?

Personally, the flat hair part doesn't bother me much. I think it's a bit cool that her hair here is not 100% curly, as I personally like her straight hair better. The thing about the album cover that kinda bothers me is more of the setting. I didn't like the solid color background of the original, so when I visualized SN TV album cover, I pictured more of a backstage background with maybe a head to hip ratio body pose. I didn't expect the background to just be just a plain ol black backdrop. It feels just a little bit too plain and dark for me. It would fit songs like Last Kiss and Dear John though, since they give nighttime feels. I wouldve preffered something light but not solid white like the original. If a darker setting is what they were going for I would think maybe it's better if they used a stage with lights and stuff as the background instead to fit the theme. My 2 cents.
