For the record, Aliir didn’t have his arms plural pinned. He chose to try to get boot to ball rather then use his free arm to break his fall. Or should Higgins have just let the tackle go so his opponent could get a kick away?

Dangerous tackle on Aliir Aliir? How exactly is he meant to tackle him then? Because you can avoid being in the back and bring them down horizontally instead of head-first but all the ball carrier needs to do is grab his head in pain and it’s an instant free kick and suspension.
This “double action” rubbish is absolute bullshit. If the umpire blows his whistle for a ball carrier who won’t go down then you won’t have to worry about the dreaded “double action”.

Very scrappy contest and Port once again showing their weaknesses in the forward line. 1 goal 8 for the first quarter is one of the worst performances you will see from a top side. Aside from the horrible inaccuracies, Port managed to penetrate and pull apart the Saints defensive structure very well, repeat entries against a heavily defensive side is a good stat to have on your side if you can back it up with conversions.
