As I ate tacos one night with Ron White, yes Tater Salad, I asked him if he liked the Allman Brothers Band since his show had ABB Fillmore East as house music. He replied, “There’s two types of music, The Allman Brothers and then everything else!”

I had the great fortune of spending many a warm summer's night under the stars watching this great band perform, nothing else has ever been able to give me that feeling since.

Gregg Allman was quoted "Derek is what Duane would've been if he lived". Hi praise from the man who knows.

Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks took an already legendary band and launched it into the stratosphere! Will we ever hear a rock band as good as this again?

I got into les brers 8 years ago when I was 12. I am 20 now, have seen Trucks 4 times, the mule 5 times and Otiel and friends twice. I can easily say that this band has had one of the biggest impacts on who I am, I start everyday with “it’s not my cross to bear” Thank you for enlightening me day in and day out

As a guy that was lucky enough to see the legendary original lineup, this lineup is the closest. And TTB carries on the tradition.

Allman Brothers are the best band I’ve ever heard and this might just be the tightest and most professional version of the band. Derek Freakin’ Trucks!

Warren Haynes played a major role in reinventing the band. He never gets enough credit. Knows how to lead.

Warren solo at the end of Wasting time no more is incredible out this world, mind blowing and deeply soulful...Could not be played no better than that...There was no air in between every stroke or lick in that solo like many others he would later come along and master!!!!!!

All of us who grew up, lived and loved this band in all its iterations through the decades, should feel lucky.

I was at this show. I usually buy tickets for about a dozen shows during their Spring Residency at The Beacon Theater. They're just phenomenal, can't get enough ✌️

I remember the first time I watched this. It was the year it was released, and Concert TV was playing it. I was in my early 20's. I was flipping through the channels and waiting for my dose to kick in. It came on about the same time I started tripping. Now I never wanted to be inside when I was tripping, let alone looking at a screen, but I couldn't take my eyes off ears off Derek Trucks. I ended up spending the next hour plus watching this while tripping, and on the phone having the most incredible conversation with my at-the-time girlfriend. If I'm honest, I had heard minimal Allman Brothers at that point, and was very into the Phish/String Cheese Incident scene. Ever since, Trucks has been my favorite guitarist, and this amongst my favorite live performances. By the by, I lucked out the next year. Went to see the Dead at Alpine Valley at the Wave Your Flag tour (2004), and they were touring with Warren Haynes. He opened with an hour long mostly acoustic solo set, then played with them all night. I'm getting misty eyed now thinking about those days. I'm now almost 40, married, and raising kids. I wouldn't trade what I have now for anything in the world, but thinking back to those years (for me 1999 to maybe 2005) is bittersweet. I'm sure some of you will understand, if you read this far. God bless and God speed.

Derek controls a slide, like no other. Always pitch perfect, immaculate tone, and creative feel that's beyond measure. Dig Warren too. Great duo
